Overview

This regulation provides that contracts awarded by utilities in the course of carrying out relevant utility activities are excluded from Part 2 PCR 2015, as further specified in the Utilities Contracts Regulations 2016 (“UCR”).

This regulation further provides that certain contracts which are excluded from the scope of the UCR, and certain contracts awarded by contracting authorities providing postal services under the UCR, are also excluded from Part 2 PCR 2015.

Contracting authorities should:

  • consider whether the contract is excluded from Part 2 PCR.
