Reg. 79 (PCR 2015)

Notices

In: Procure > Contract award and implementation

Overview

Contracting authorities planning to conduct a design contest must announce their intention through a contest notice. The contest notice must be submitted for publication to the UK e-notification service, in accordance with regulation 51 (publication on the UK e-notification service) PCR 2015.

After the design contest has taken place, the contracting authorities must submit a notice of the contest results for publication to Finder a Tender, in accordance with regulation 51. The contracting authorities must be able to demonstrate the date on which the notice was submitted to the UK e-notification service.

In cases where releasing information on the contest outcome could impede law enforcement, be contrary to the public interest, harm the commercial interests of a particular enterprise, or impact fair competition between service providers, such information may be withheld from publication.

Objective at this commercial stage

Contracting authorities must publish a notice of the contest results, on Find a Tender.

Key considerations at this commercial stage

Contracting authorities should:

  • ensure that a notice of the contest results is published on Find a Tender
  • ensure that they can demonstrate the date on which the notice was sent to Find a Tender
  • ensure that information in relation to the outcome of the contest is not published if it could impede law enforcement, be contrary to the public interest, harm commercial interests of a particular enterprise, or impact fair competition between service providers.

There is no direct equivalent section in the Procurement Act 2023
